This refreshing spread comes together quickly and delivers a delicious balance of creamy texture and crunchy vegetables in every bite.

INGREDIENTS
• 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 0.5 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
• 1 cup finely chopped broccoli florets
• 0.5 cup finely diced carrots
• 0.5 cup finely diced red bell pepper
• 0.25 cup finely chopped green onions
• 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
• 0.5 teaspoon salt
• 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• Crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables for serving

STEPS

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Wash and dry all vegetables thoroughly. Finely chop the broccoli, carrots, bell pepper, and green onions into very small pieces so they blend smoothly into the spread and are easy to scoop onto crackers or bread.
  2. Soften the cream cheese: Allow the cream cheese to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until soft and easy to mix. This helps create a smooth creamy texture without lumps.
  3. Make the creamy base: In a large mixing bowl combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Beat with a spoon or hand mixer until completely smooth, fluffy, and creamy.
  4. Season the mixture: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh parsley. Stir well so the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the base.
  5. Fold in the vegetables: Add the chopped broccoli, carrots, bell pepper, green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese. Fold gently until all the vegetables are evenly coated in the creamy mixture.
  6. Chill the spread: Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Chilling allows the flavors to blend together beautifully while slightly firming the texture.
  7. Stir before serving: Give the spread a quick stir after chilling to redistribute any moisture released from the vegetables and ensure a creamy consistency.
  8. Serve and enjoy: Spoon into a serving bowl and serve cold with crackers, toasted baguette slices, pita chips, or fresh vegetable sticks.

NOTES
Tips: Finely chopping the vegetables is important for the best texture and easier spreading. Fresh crisp vegetables give the spread its signature crunch and bright flavor so avoid frozen vegetables which may release too much water. Sharp cheddar adds savory richness but pepper jack, mozzarella, or parmesan can also work well depending on the flavor profile you want. Greek yogurt creates a lighter tangier version while sour cream makes the spread extra rich and creamy. For additional flavor try adding crispy bacon bits, chopped jalapeños, sunflower seeds, or ranch seasoning. This spread is excellent as a sandwich filling, wrap spread, stuffed into celery sticks, or layered onto bagels. The flavor becomes even better after several hours in the refrigerator making it a perfect make-ahead appetizer for gatherings and holiday snack tables. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir well before serving again.
