Crispy Salmon Patties

These Crispy Salmon Patties are golden on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of savory flavor. They’re a budget-friendly, quick meal made with simple ingredients—perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked or canned salmon (drained and flaked)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Place the salmon in a large bowl and flake it with a fork, removing any large bones or skin if using canned salmon.

Add the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. These ingredients help bind the mixture while adding moisture and flavor.

Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined. The mixture should hold together when pressed; if too dry, add a little more mayonnaise.

Form the mixture into small patties, about 2–3 inches wide and about 1/2 inch thick. Press gently so they stay together without becoming dense.

Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Avoid overcrowding the pan so they cook evenly and develop a nice crust.

Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.

Let them rest for a minute before serving to help them firm up.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or a simple salad. They’re also great in sandwiches or wraps.

These salmon patties are crispy, flavorful, and easy to make—perfect for a quick, satisfying meal.
