These Warm Sunday Breakfast Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are soft, buttery, and loaded with melted cheese and rich garlic flavor. Perfect for a cozy weekend morning, they pair beautifully with eggs, soups, or simply enjoyed on their own while still warm from the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp salt
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the oven and dough
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and place it on the prepared baking sheet. - Make the garlic butter
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano (or Italian seasoning), and salt. Stir well so the garlic is evenly distributed. - Brush the dough
Generously brush the garlic butter mixture all over the surface of the dough, reaching the edges for maximum flavor. - Add the cheese
Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the dough, followed by the Parmesan. Press lightly with your hands so the cheese sticks to the buttered surface. - Bake until golden
Bake for 12ā15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden, and the edges of the bread are crisp. - Slice and serve
Remove from the oven and let rest for 2ā3 minutes. Slice into breadsticks using a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
⨠Tip: For extra indulgence, serve with warm marinara or a creamy garlic dipping sauce on the side.
