Texas Trash Dip is a warm, creamy, cheesy bean dip loaded with flavor. It is perfect for parties, game nights, or any gathering where you need a crowd-pleasing appetizer. This baked dip comes together quickly and delivers bold Tex-Mex taste in every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (16 oz each) refried beans
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles, drained
- Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, chopped green onions, diced tomatoes, cilantro
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Base
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the refried beans, softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning.
- Mix thoroughly until the mixture is completely smooth and well blended.
Step 2: Add Flavor and Cheese
Stir in the diced green chiles, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the Monterey Jack cheese. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
Step 3: Transfer to Baking Dish
Spread the mixture evenly into a baking dish (9×9 or similar size). Smooth the top with a spatula.
Step 4: Add Remaining Cheese
Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly across the top.
