Slow Cooker Cheesy Burger Flavored Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • Chopped green onions or crispy bacon bits (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sautƩ until fragrant and soft. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Assemble in the slow cooker: Add the cooked beef mixture to your slow cooker. Stir in diced potatoes, chicken broth, cheddar cheese soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, paprika, black pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the flavors are well blended.
  4. Add cheese: About 15 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve: Ladle the soup into bowls and top with sour cream, green onions, or crispy bacon bits.

Pro Tip: For a thicker, heartier soup, mash some of the cooked potatoes right in the pot before adding the cheese. Serve with crusty bread or toasted buns for the ultimate comfort meal.
