Rich, comforting, and effortlessly festive
Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Creamy Holiday Fettuccine is the ultimate low-effort, high-reward dish for busy holidays or cozy weekends. The slow cooker does all the work, gently creating a velvety sauce that clings beautifully to tender fettuccine. It’s simple, elegant, and perfect for feeding a crowd.
Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker to prevent sticking. Break the fettuccine in half and place it into the slow cooker in a loose, crisscrossed layer so it cooks evenly.
Pour the heavy cream over the pasta, making sure most of the noodles are submerged. Add the cubed butter evenly across the top and sprinkle in the black pepper.
Cover with the lid and cook on low for 1½–2 hours. Stir gently every 20–30 minutes, separating the noodles as they soften and ensuring they cook evenly without clumping.
Once the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened, add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir slowly until the cheese melts completely into the sauce, creating a smooth and creamy texture.
Cover again and cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, stirring once, until the sauce is glossy and coats the pasta evenly.
Turn off the slow cooker and let the fettuccine rest uncovered for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the sauce to thicken slightly and cling to the noodles.
Serve warm as a main dish or festive side, and enjoy immediately for the creamiest results.
Tips
Stirring regularly prevents sticking and overcooking.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Add cooked chicken or vegetables at the end for variation.
