- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Colby-Jack cheese
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper
Instructions
- Cook the sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until fully browned, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain off excess grease and set aside to cool slightly. - Prepare the oven and dough
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles. - Assemble the crescents
Sprinkle a small amount of cheese onto the wide end of each dough triangle. Top with a spoonful of cooked sausage, then add a pinch of black pepper and garlic powder if using. - Roll and shape
Starting from the wide end, gently roll the dough toward the point, tucking the filling inside as you go. Curve slightly to form a crescent shape and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. - Bake until golden
Bake for 12ā15 minutes, or until the crescents are puffed and golden brown. - Serve warm
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2ā3 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm on their own or with eggs and fruit on the side.
⨠Tip: For extra flavor, brush the tops with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
