Sweet, buttery corn cooked in a skillet with a touch of honey—simple, cozy, and the perfect side for any meal.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 cups corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
  • ¼ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

Detailed Instructions

  1. Prepare the corn
    • If using frozen corn, let it thaw slightly and drain excess moisture.
    • If using canned corn, drain and pat dry with paper towels to prevent splattering.
  2. Melt the butter
    • Place a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add butter and let it melt completely, swirling the pan to coat the bottom evenly.
  3. Cook the corn
    • Add corn kernels to the skillet.
    • Stir well so the corn is coated in butter.
    • Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until corn is heated through and lightly golden in spots.
  4. Add honey and cream
    • Drizzle honey evenly over the corn.
    • Pour in the cream or milk.
    • Stir gently to combine and let simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Make it extra creamy (optional)
    • Stir in cream cheese until fully melted and smooth.
  6. Season and finish
    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
    • Reduce heat to low and cook another 1–2 minutes, stirring gently.
  7. Serve
    • Remove from heat and serve warm straight from the skillet.
