“Holiday staple”: Only 3 ingredients. I make this every Christmas, and it never lasts long.

3-Ingredient Christmas Crack Bars

These 3-Ingredient Christmas Crack Bars are a holiday favorite for a reason—sweet, crunchy, buttery, and unbelievably easy to make. With just three simple ingredients, they’re perfect for last-minute desserts, cookie trays, or homemade gifts during the busy Christmas season.

Ingredients

24 square butter crackers (such as Club crackers)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)

Instructions

Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Layer the crackers
Arrange the crackers in a single layer in the bottom of the prepared dish, breaking them as needed to fit evenly.

Add brown sugar
Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the crackers, making sure to cover them as completely as possible.

Bake until bubbly
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, until the brown sugar melts and becomes bubbly and caramel-like.

Add chocolate
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the hot caramel layer. Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then gently spread the melted chocolate into an even layer.

Cool and slice
Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set. Once firm, cut into bars or squares.

Tip: For extra holiday flair, sprinkle crushed candy canes, chopped nuts, or festive sprinkles on top of the melted chocolate before it sets.
