These Cozy Grandma’s Maple Glazed Pork Chops are tender, comforting, and full of warm, homestyle flavor. Lightly seared pork chops are finished with a sweet maple glaze that caramelizes beautifully, making this a perfect family dinner for cool evenings.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Let them rest at room temperature for 10 minutes for even cooking.
  2. Sear the chops
Heat the oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until nicely browned. Remove the chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the maple glaze
Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and butter. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes, until slightly thickened and glossy.
  4. Glaze and finish cooking
Return the pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the glaze over the chops and cook for another 3–5 minutes, turning once, until the pork is cooked through (internal temperature 145°F / 63°C) and coated in the sticky glaze.
  5. Rest and serve
Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes. Spoon extra glaze over the top and serve warm.

Tip: Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables to soak up every bit of that delicious maple glaze.
