Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups egg noodles or elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried parsley or thyme
- 1 tbsp butter or oil, for greasing
Instructions
- Cook the pasta
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the noodles according to package directions until just al dente. Drain and set aside. - Prepare the beef mixture
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3ā4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. - Make the creamy sauce
