Low-Carb Cheese Buns
These low-carb cheese buns are fluffy, cheesy, and perfectly golden ā ideal for breakfast sandwiches, burgers, or simply as a keto-friendly snack!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra flavor)
- Pinch of salt and garlic powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt mozzarella and cream cheese together for about 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
- Mix the dough: Add almond flour, baking powder, and egg to the melted cheese mixture. Mix well until a sticky dough forms.
- Shape the buns: Divide the dough into 5ā6 portions and roll them into balls. Flatten slightly on the baking sheet.
- Add cheddar topping (optional): Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top for a golden crust.
- Bake: for 15ā18 minutes, until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Cool slightly: before serving ā the texture improves as they rest!
