Perfectly glazed, irresistible party bites
Sweet & Sticky Candied Kielbasa Bites are a classic crowd-pleaser—smoky sausage pieces simmered in a glossy, caramelized sauce that hits all the right notes of sweet and savory. They’re effortless to make and always disappear fast at gatherings, game days, or potlucks.
Ingredients
2 pounds kielbasa, sliced into 1-inch rounds
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Dijon or yellow mustard
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare a slow cooker if you prefer a hands-off method.
For the oven method, lightly grease a baking dish and arrange the sliced kielbasa in an even layer. In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard until smooth and thick. Pour the sauce over the kielbasa and toss gently so every piece is fully coated.
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. As it cooks, the sauce will bubble, thicken, and cling to the sausage, creating a shiny, sticky glaze. The kielbasa should be heated through with lightly caramelized edges.
For the slow cooker method, add the sliced kielbasa directly to the slow cooker. Whisk the brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard together and pour over the sausage. Stir well to coat. Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or high for 1½–2 hours, stirring once or twice, until hot and glossy.
Once finished, let the kielbasa rest for 5 minutes so the glaze thickens slightly. Serve warm straight from the dish or slow cooker.
Tips
Stirring occasionally prevents burning and ensures even coating.
Serve with toothpicks for easy party snacking.
Leftovers reheat beautifully and stay sticky.
