Bacon Cheddar Mini Cheese Balls

Bacon Cheddar Mini Cheese Balls are bite-sized crowd-pleasers that disappear fast. Cream cheese blended with sharp cheddar, crispy bacon, and simple seasonings is rolled into poppable balls that are perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime you want an easy make-ahead appetizer.

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ cup cooked bacon, finely chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped green onions or chives
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Extra chopped bacon or herbs, for rolling

Instructions

Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl and stir until smooth and creamy. This makes it easier to blend and gives the cheese balls a silky texture.

Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, green onions or chives, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined and the mixture holds together.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes. Chilling firms up the mixture and makes shaping much easier.

Once chilled, scoop out small portions and roll them between your palms to form bite-sized balls.

Roll each cheese ball in extra chopped bacon or herbs to coat the outside evenly. Press gently so the coating sticks well.

Place the finished cheese balls on a plate or tray, cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled or slightly softened for the best flavor.

Tips

Use sharp cheddar for maximum flavor.
Chill your hands with cold water before rolling if the mixture gets sticky.
These can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator until serving.
