Sweet, savory, and irresistibly simple
These 3-Ingredient Low-Carb Holiday Ham Bites are the ultimate easy appetizer. Juicy ham wrapped in crispy bacon and lightly glazed for a caramelized finish, they’re festive, bite-sized, and perfect for holidays, parties, or any low-carb gathering.
Ingredients
12–15 cubes cooked ham (about 1–1½ inches)
6–8 slices bacon, cut in half
2–3 tablespoons sugar-free honey or sugar-free maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
Cut the cooked ham into evenly sized cubes so they cook and heat through at the same rate. Take one half slice of bacon and wrap it tightly around each ham cube, overlapping slightly. Secure each piece with a toothpick to keep the bacon from unrolling during baking.
Arrange the wrapped ham bites seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one so the bacon can crisp evenly.
Lightly brush or drizzle a small amount of sugar-free honey or maple syrup over the top of each bite. Use just enough to add shine and sweetness without overpowering the savory flavors.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 18–22 minutes, turning the bites halfway through so the bacon browns evenly on all sides. The ham should be heated through and the bacon crispy and caramelized.
For extra crisp edges, broil the bites for the final 1–2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven and let the ham bites rest for 3–5 minutes before serving. This allows the glaze to set slightly and makes them easier to handle. Serve warm.
Tips
Use thick-cut ham for juicier bites.
Line the baking sheet well, as the glaze can become sticky.
These bites can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
