Warm Sunday Breakfast Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks

These Warm Sunday Breakfast Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are soft, buttery, and loaded with melted cheese and rich garlic flavor. Perfect for a cozy weekend morning, they pair beautifully with eggs, soups, or simply enjoyed on their own while still warm from the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough, homemade or store-bought
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven and dough
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Roll or stretch the pizza dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Make the garlic butter
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano (or Italian seasoning), and salt. Stir well so the garlic is evenly distributed.
  3. Brush the dough
Generously brush the garlic butter mixture all over the surface of the dough, reaching the edges for maximum flavor.
  4. Add the cheese
Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the dough, followed by the Parmesan. Press lightly with your hands so the cheese sticks to the buttered surface.
  5. Bake until golden
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden, and the edges of the bread are crisp.
  6. Slice and serve
Remove from the oven and let rest for 2–3 minutes. Slice into breadsticks using a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

✨ Tip: For extra indulgence, serve with warm marinara or a creamy garlic dipping sauce on the side.
