A simple, affordable, and delicious side dish made with only four pantry staples. These potatoes come out crispy on the edges, soft inside, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Wash and peel the potatoes if desired. Slice each potato into even 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- Spread the potato slices in a single layer in your baking dish. Do not overlap them too much or they won’t crisp properly.
- Brush the tops generously with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and crispy on the edges and tender in the center.
- Serve hot as a side dish with dinner, or enjoy on their own with your favorite dipping sauce.
